About The Position
Puget Sound Home Health & Hospice of King County is hiring a part-time or full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Home Health in Kitsap County. This role offers one-on-one patient care in the home with manageable caseloads, averaging 4-6 patients per day. Nurses experience autonomy with support from a collaborative team, comprehensive paid training, mentoring, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for career growth. The position aims to provide an alternative to traditional hospital settings with call lights, double assignments, and unsafe patient-to-nurse ratios.
Requirements
- Active Washington State LPN license (or in place before first day of work)
- Strong critical thinking and ability to work independently
- Current BLS certification (AHA)
- Valid driver’s license with insured, reliable vehicle
Nice To Haves
- Home Health experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one skilled nursing care in patient homes, including wound care, catheter care, medication administration, and symptom management.
- Perform skilled observation, assessment, and evaluation.
- Educate and support patients and families/caregivers.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
