About The Position

Bartlett Regional Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join their Home Health team. This is a part-time position. The recruitment is open until filled. There are two levels for this position: CNA 1 and CNA 2. The CNA 1 is an entry-level role providing basic direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living under supervision, focusing on foundational skills, safe patient handling, infection prevention, and accurate observation and reporting. The CNA 2 independently performs the full range of CNA duties, delivering safe and compassionate care, recognizing and communicating changes in patient condition, and demonstrating proficiency in ADLs, mobility assistance, vital signs, and documentation.

Requirements

• Current State of Alaska Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License
• CNA 1: No previous experience required.
• CNA 2: Three (3) Months of experience and checked off on all competencies.
• Must produce a negative drug screen for all illegal substances in the State of Alaska prior to the start of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living under close supervision of licensed nursing staff (CNA 1).
• Develop competence in foundational CNA skills, safe patient handling, infection prevention, and accurate observation and reporting (CNA 1).
• Build consistency, confidence, and efficiency in routine care delivery (CNA 1).
• Independently perform the full range of CNA duties for assigned patients/residents (CNA 2).
• Deliver safe, compassionate care and reliably recognize and communicate changes in patient/resident condition (CNA 2).
• Demonstrate consistent proficiency in ADLs, mobility assistance, vital signs, and documentation (CNA 2).
• Serve as a dependable member of the care team who supports care planning through accurate observations and effective communication (CNA 2).
