About The Position
BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking an experienced Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) for a full-time role making hospice visits to clients throughout Camden and Burlington counties. The aide is an integral member of a multidisciplinary care team providing home health aide services alongside skilled nursing and palliative care, helping clients receive medical care in their homes. The position offers a 1:1 patient ratio, flexible scheduling, weekly pay, and a comprehensive benefits package. Reliable transportation is required. Base pay is $22–$23 per hour, depending on qualifications and subject to negotiation. BAYADA provides PPE, infection-prevention protocols, daily prescreens, and ongoing monitoring.
Requirements
- At least one year of work experience.
- Be listed on the New Jersey Aide Registry, active and in good standing.
- Be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Pass the BAYADA Competency Evaluation Examination.
- Complete a criminal background check.
- Meet all state requirements.
- Have access to reliable transportation.
- Enjoy working as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living.
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and bed making.
- Provide bathing, grooming, toileting, and nail care.
- Assist with range-of-motion activities and exercises.
- Help with transfers, including use of mechanical lifting devices.
- Assist with oral feeding and ambulation.
- Provide medication assistance.
- Check vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and respiration.
