About The Position

Centria Healthcare is hiring compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) or Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide in-home support. This role involves working one-on-one with clients in a private home setting to help them remain safe, comfortable, and independent. The position is for a pleasant woman in Six Lakes, MI, who requires assistance with her Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and household tasks following arm injuries and anticipated surgery. The client's daughter is highly involved in her care, and an attentive approach is essential. The schedule is from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, every day.

Requirements

  • CNA, HHA, or equivalent experience in home care preferred
  • Experience working with fall-risk and mobility-impaired clients strongly desired
  • Must be comfortable assisting with personal care tasks
  • Reliable, patient, and attentive to individual needs
  • Comfortable working in a private home setting
  • Ability to work independently and follow a care plan
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Comfortable using tablets/computers for documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow all care protocols
  • Ability to address minor medical concerns as they arise
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Clear Background Check
  • Negative TB Test Results
  • Proof of Auto Insurance (with your name listed on the policy)

Responsibilities

  • Assist with mobility and transfers to prevent falls
  • Provide basic personal care, including hygiene, toileting, and dressing
  • Monitor and assist with oxygen therapy as needed
  • Prepare light snacks or drinks upon request
  • Offer companionship and emotional reassurance throughout the shift
  • Assist in positioning and turning to prevent discomfort
  • Document and report changes in client condition promptly
  • Respond to emergencies following proper procedures
  • Perform duties as outlined in the patient’s plan of care
  • Monitor client’s physical and mental condition, intake/output, and exercise
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy care environment
  • Follow professional standards, care policies, and local/state/federal requirements
