Requirements

• Previous professional experience (with an agency or a care facility) providing personal care services.
• Valid driver’s license or government-issued photo ID.
• Clear Level 2 Background Screen from the State of Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA).
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have an active CPR certification form an in-person, hands-on course.
• Reliable transportation to and from shifts.
• Excellent communication skills with a kind, caring and compassionate demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services for clients to enable them to safely and comfortably remain in their homes.
• Help clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, eating, grooming and toileting.
• Companionship (playing games, talking, going for walks).
• Light housekeeping, including laundry.
• Meal planning and preparation.
• Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as showering, eating, and grooming.
• Transfer assistance between bed, chairs, wheelchairs, etc.
• Transportation to appointments and errands.
• Medication reminders.
