About The Position
BrightStar Care is seeking a reliable, compassionate full-time caregiver to provide in-home support and help clients remain safe and independent. Support includes personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship, errands, and assistance with daily activities. Weekend availability is required, including availability to work two weekend days per month. Caregivers provide companionship and conversation, assist with personal care and mobility, and may accompany clients to appointments or social outings, providing transportation as needed. They monitor and report changes in clients’ health, behavior, and needs, and communicate with the RN Case Manager as part of the care coordination team to update the plan of care. One-hour shifts pay $30 per hour, two-hour shifts pay $22.50 per hour, and shifts of three hours or longer pay a base rate of $19–$22 per hour based on experience.
Requirements
- A compassionate, patient, and caring nature.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience providing hands-on care in a setting such as home health, assisted living, a group home, or a hospital.
- A reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
- A negative TB test or cleared chest X-ray.
- Availability to work two weekend days per month.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and conversation to clients.
- Assist with daily activities, including meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands.
- Provide physical assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, transfers, and ambulation.
- Accompany clients to appointments or social outings and provide transportation as needed.
- Monitor and report changes in clients’ health, behavior, and needs.
- Communicate with the RN Case Manager as part of the care coordination team to update the plan of care.
