About The Position

Kingsway Senior Living in Belle Plaine is seeking Home Health Aides to join their team. They are looking for individuals who care and truly want to make a difference in the residents' lives. Previous experience in a skilled nursing home or assisted living community is preferred, but not required. Casual on-call employees are able to pick up available shifts when it works for their schedule. The requirements for a casual on-call employee are a minimum of 24 hours per month, with at least one (8) hour shift being a weekend shift each month. They must also participate in holiday rotation, selecting 2 holidays per year.

Requirements

Minimum 24 hours per month (with at least one (8) hour shift being a weekend shift each month)
AM Shift: 6:00 am - 2:00pm, PM Shift : 2:00pm - 10:00pm, Overnight Shift: 10:00pm - 6:00am
Holiday Rotation (must select 2 holidays per year)
Compassionate, patient, and friendly demeanor
Genuine interest in working with and caring for the elderly
Ability to build positive relationships with residents and their families
Excellent communication skills
Good team player
Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a skilled nursing home or assisted living community is preferred

Responsibilities

Assisting residents with all of their ADL's (activities of daily living) including; dressing, dental hygiene, toileting and showering.
Preparing for and assisting residents with meal times
Medication administration
Interaction/activities with residents
General clean up and laundry
