About The Position

We are looking for kind and compassionate Home Health Aides (HHA) to assist with short shifts (2-6 hours) in the Barnstable area. Join our team of professional healthcare staff. You will assist patients with daily tasks while making a meaningful difference in their lives. This position involves providing care across diverse healthcare settings, including home care, long term care, acute, sub-acute, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient facilities, and assisted living facilities. Requirements

  • Dementia experience needed to understand patient needs effectively.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy is maintained.
  • Compassionate demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks is preferred.
  • Experience in home care, nursing homes, ICU, or hospice care settings is a plus.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is highly desirable.
  • Document patient care activities accurately using electronic health record systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
  • Meal Prep: Planning, cooking, and feeding according to specific dietary restrictions.
  • Assisting with transportation for errands, doctor’s visit, outings etc.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
  • Help maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
  • Assist with mobility and transportation of patients within the facility.
  • Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding patient needs and changes in condition.
