Private Duty Home Health Aide (HHA/CNA)
About The Position
Centria Healthcare is hiring compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) or Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide essential, one-on-one in-home support. This role is ideal for individuals experienced in home care or those beginning their healthcare journey, offering a chance to join a mission-driven organization that values care, compassion, and community. Caregivers provide essential in-home support to help individuals remain safe, comfortable, and independent, working one-on-one with clients in a private home setting. This is a pet-free home environment.
Requirements
- CNA, HHA, or equivalent experience in home care preferred
- Experience working with fall-risk and mobility-impaired clients strongly desired
- Comfortable assisting with safe transfers and personal care tasks
- Reliable, patient, and attentive to individual needs
- Comfortable working in a private home setting (no pets)
- Ability to work independently and follow a care plan
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Comfortable using tablets/computers for documentation
- Valid Driver’s License (Required for client transportation)
- Proof of Auto Insurance (with your name listed on the policy)
- Current CPR Certification
- Clear Background Check
- Negative TB Test Results
Responsibilities
- Assist with safe client transfers and mobility support to prevent falls
- Provide timely medication reminders
- Provide transportation to grocery stores and medical appointments
- Assist with light household upkeep and maintaining a clean, safe environment
- Provide basic personal care, including hygiene, toileting, and dressing
- Monitor and assist with oxygen therapy as needed
- Prepare light meals, snacks, or drinks upon request
- Offer companionship and emotional reassurance throughout the shift
- Assist in positioning and turning to prevent discomfort
- Document and report changes in client condition promptly
- Respond to emergencies following proper procedures
- Perform duties as outlined in the patient’s plan of care
- Follow professional standards, care policies, and local/state/federal requirements
