About The Position

Centria Healthcare is hiring compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) or Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide essential, one-on-one in-home support. This role is ideal for individuals experienced in home care or those beginning their healthcare journey, offering a chance to join a mission-driven organization that values care, compassion, and community. Caregivers provide essential in-home support to help individuals remain safe, comfortable, and independent, working one-on-one with clients in a private home setting. This is a pet-free home environment.

Requirements

  • CNA, HHA, or equivalent experience in home care preferred
  • Experience working with fall-risk and mobility-impaired clients strongly desired
  • Comfortable assisting with safe transfers and personal care tasks
  • Reliable, patient, and attentive to individual needs
  • Comfortable working in a private home setting (no pets)
  • Ability to work independently and follow a care plan
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable using tablets/computers for documentation
  • Valid Driver’s License (Required for client transportation)
  • Proof of Auto Insurance (with your name listed on the policy)
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Clear Background Check
  • Negative TB Test Results

Responsibilities

  • Assist with safe client transfers and mobility support to prevent falls
  • Provide timely medication reminders
  • Provide transportation to grocery stores and medical appointments
  • Assist with light household upkeep and maintaining a clean, safe environment
  • Provide basic personal care, including hygiene, toileting, and dressing
  • Monitor and assist with oxygen therapy as needed
  • Prepare light meals, snacks, or drinks upon request
  • Offer companionship and emotional reassurance throughout the shift
  • Assist in positioning and turning to prevent discomfort
  • Document and report changes in client condition promptly
  • Respond to emergencies following proper procedures
  • Perform duties as outlined in the patient’s plan of care
  • Follow professional standards, care policies, and local/state/federal requirements
