About The Position
Human Touch Home Health is seeking compassionate and dependable Home Health Aides (HHAs) to join our growing team serving patients throughout Washington, DC. This is a PRN opportunity offering flexibility, meaningful one-on-one patient care, and the chance to make a real difference every day. The most meaningful care happens at home, helping patients remain safe, comfortable, and independent. As a Home Health Aide, you'll build meaningful relationships while providing personalized, one-on-one care.
Requirements
- Active Washington, DC Home Health Aide (HHA) Certification Required
- Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Ability to work independently in patients' homes
Nice To Haves
- Previous home care experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation
- Prepare light meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping related to patient care
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse
- Complete timely and accurate documentation according to company guidelines
