About The Position

Maximum Care, Inc. is seeking a Direct Care Worker to support elderly people, people with disabilities, and participants with intellectual disabilities in the Lehigh Valley. The role provides respectful physical and emotional care related to illness, injury, or disability, while protecting participants’ dignity and rights. Duties may include light housekeeping, errands, transportation, accompanying clients to appointments, medication reminders, meal preparation, grocery shopping, personal assistance, and companionship. The company offers flexible schedules and mobile-based applications and training, with face-to-face meetings via Zoom. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be able to complete a criminal background report.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and stand for sometimes long periods.

Responsibilities

Provide physical and emotional care to participants experiencing illness, injury, or disability.
Care for participants and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect.
Provide light housekeeping, run errands, and provide transportation when needed.
Accompany clients to appointments and assist with or remind them about medications.
Prepare meals and purchase food.
Provide personal assistance with general living needs, including toileting, bathing, feeding, and grooming.
Provide companionship and conversation by stimulating, encouraging, and assisting individuals.
