About The Position

Interim HealthCare is seeking a Home Health Aide (CHHA) for Essex County. This is a part-time position with flexible hours and competitive pay. CHHAs provide essential care and support to clients in their homes, including companion activities, homemaking, personal care, transportation to appointments, and assistance with daily living activities. We offer valuable training programs, including Dementia care and Home Life Enrichment, along with FREE American Heart Association CPR certification. We foster a supportive, encouraging, and appreciative environment for our team.

Requirements

NJ CHHA certification
Reliable transportation
Basic Life Support (CPR) certification
Able to pass criminal history and drug screening
Authorized to work in the United States
Provide two references of past employers or nursing program instructors (no family or friends)
Able to constantly travel within geographic area serviced by office from assignment to assignment

Responsibilities

Provide companion activities
Perform homemaking tasks
Assist with personal care, including exercise, activity and positioning, range of motion, transferring, ambulation and assistive devices, and personal hygiene (nail and skin care, bathing, shampooing, etc.)
Assist with vital signs
Provide post-stroke and dementia care
Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and assist with meal preparation
Provide transportation to appointments
Adhere to the patient plan of care
