About The Position
First in Home Care, Interim HealthCare is expanding into Mercer County and is looking for Certified Homemaker-Home Health Aides to provide in-home care to residents of Mercer County. This is a part-time position with flexible hours. We offer training programs in Dementia care and Home Life Enrichment, weekly direct deposit, PPE supplies, and FREE American Heart Association CPR renewal. We foster a supportive, encouraging, and appreciative environment.
Requirements
- NJ CHHA certification
- Reliable transportation
- Basic Life Support (CPR)
- Able to pass criminal history and drug screening
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Provide two references of past employers or nursing program instructors (no family or friends)
- Able to constantly travel within geographic area serviced by office from assignment to assignment

Responsibilities
- Provide companion activities

- Transferring, ambulation and assistive devices
- Personal hygiene (nail and skin care, bathing, shampooing, etc.) and positioning
- Vital signs
- Post-stroke and dementia care
- Light house-keeping, laundry and assistance with meal preparation
- Adherence to patient plan of care
