Home Health Aide (HHA or CNA)
About The Position
Giving Home Health Care has been supporting individuals impacted by health conditions related to their work in nuclear facilities for the Department of Energy since 2012. With a focus on personalized, in-home care, we are committed to assisting those who have dedicated their careers to these vital roles. We are looking for a compassionate HHA or CNA in Velarde, NM to administer patient care in accordance with a physician established care plan. This role is a 1099 contract opportunity, with care being provided at the patient’s residence. This patient has the following schedule openings: 9 hours a day, no preference on the time the shift starts. You’ll get to advocate for the patients and work one-on-one to provide them with the care that they need. This role will collaborate with CNA’s, HHA’s, Case Managers, and the patient’s physicians. Offers are contingent upon passing a background check.
Requirements
- Ability to monitor vital signs
- Dependable transportation
- Current CPR certification
Responsibilities
- Work with the patient in their home to provide one-on-one service in a comfortable and familiar setting.
- Assist with the patients’ activities of daily living as well as personal care.
- Light housekeeping
- Meal preparation
- Monitor vitals (vital signs, temperature, respiration, etc) according to plan of care.
- Remind patient of to take medication as prescribed.
- Maintain records and documentation of services.
- Communication with the patients’ family, doctors, and other prescribed individuals regarding the health and care of the patient.
