Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
About The Position
Giving Home Health Care is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the McKinney, TX area. This role involves providing assistance in daily living and personal care services in patients' homes, following a physician-established care plan. This is a 1099 contract opportunity, with care provided at the patient's residence. The scheduling needs are flexible and will be established between the HHA/CNA, patient, and case manager. The position offers a flexible schedule of 28 hours per week, suitable for supplemental or PRN work. Offers are contingent upon passing a background check.
Requirements
- Current CPR, First Aid, and 2-Step TB Test
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Prolonged standing and walking required, with ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move patients.
- Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a clinical care setting, home health preferred.
Responsibilities
- Executes physician prescribed plans of care and compliant documentation of care provided in system of record.
- Administers prescribed treatments, and therapies.
- Performs patient assessments, coordination of care.
- Performs various activities associated with daily living, communications, and monitoring of vitals while working at the patient’s home.
- Communicates with family members, doctors, and other prescribed individuals regarding the health of patients.
- Performs other personal care services as necessary to meet the patient’s needs.
