HHA/CNA Needed in Tequesta - Part Time
About The Position
Right at Home Palm Beach is seeking compassionate, caring, and reliable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide patient care in the Lake Worth, Florida area. The role involves assisting patients with activities of daily living, preparing meals, accompanying patients on errands or medical appointments, and performing light housekeeping. Care may also include hospice support, medication reminders, exercise assistance, incontinence care, and use of lifting equipment. This position requires a Level 2 background screening through the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. HHAs must have a Palm Beach County badge. The employer offers flexible scheduling, paid training and development, paid travel time between clients, overtime pay, holiday pay, mileage reimbursement, employee referral bonuses, and direct deposit.
Requirements
- CNA license or HHA certificate; HHAs must have a Palm Beach County badge.
- Valid driver license or state photo ID.
- Second form of identification, such as an SSN card, passport, or voter registration.
- Auto insurance.
- Vehicle registration.
- CPR card; online classes are not accepted.
- TB test or chest X-ray.
- Level 2 fingerprint background check.
- Alzheimer's, HIV, and Assisting with Medications CEU.
- One letter of recommendation.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Hoyer lifts.
- Experience in personal care.
- Experience with range-of-motion exercises.
- Experience providing companionship.
- Experience with light cleaning.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal hygiene, ambulation and transfers, dressing, and shaving.
- Prepare meals and snacks according to instructions.
- Accompany patients on errands or medical appointments.
- Perform housekeeping, including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping, dishes, changing bed linens, laundry, and bathroom cleaning.
- Provide hospice supportive care as needed.
- Give medication reminders.
- Assist patients with exercises.
- Provide incontinence care.
- Use lifting equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts.
