About The Position

Right at Home Palm Beach is seeking compassionate, caring, and reliable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide in-home care in the Jupiter/Lake Worth, Florida area. The position involves assisting patients with activities of daily living, meal preparation, errands and appointments, housekeeping, and patient-specific care. A Level 2 background screening through the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse is required.

Requirements

CNA license or HHA certificate; HHAs must have a Palm Beach County badge.
Valid driver's license or state photo ID.
Second form of identification, such as an SSN, passport, or voter registration.
Auto insurance.
Vehicle registration.
CPR card; online classes are not accepted.
TB test or chest X-ray.
Level 2 fingerprint background check.
Continuing education units in Alzheimer's, HIV, and assisting with medications.
One letter of recommendation.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with personal hygiene, ambulation and transfers, dressing, and shaving.
Prepare meals and snacks according to instructions.
Accompany patients on errands or to medical appointments.
Perform housekeeping, including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping, washing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning bathrooms.
Provide hospice supportive care.
Give medication reminders.
Assist patients with exercises.
Provide incontinence care.
Use lifting equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts.
