About The Position

Home Care Network is expanding and actively seeking experienced Home Health Aides, including CNA, STNA, DODD-Certified DSP, HHA, CHHA, PCA, etc., interested in providing one-on-one care in the home setting. Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-2 years paid in-home care or caregiving experience (agency experience desirable but not required)
  • STNAs and CNAs highly desired (or HHA/PCA with 2+ years consistent experience)
  • Or Active DSP Certification from Ohio DODD with 1+ year of experience caring for persons with disabilities AND willingness to care for non-DODD clients.
  • Exceptional on-time and attendance record, and consistent availability aligned to your chosen schedule type.
  • Desire for long-term employment with our agency (no temp or short-term employment at this time)
  • Successful completion of HCN's written skills test and/or competency evaluation (Requires approx. 3-5 hours virtual testing & training prior to hire).
  • Active CPR + FA certification and documentation of both
  • Consent + Ability to pass a State & Federal background check (including fingerprints)
  • 18yo + active Driver's License / State ID
  • Reliable transportation to all scheduled visits, within full reach of stated travel radius
  • Deep commitment to quality patient care
  • Excellent documentation habits and Plan of Care adherence
  • Willingness and aptitude to perform light housekeeping in addition to patient care services as needed.
  • Ability to perform all typical physical tasks on a regular basis, and willingness to do so safely.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional Medication Certifications, Hoyer lift experience, specific disease-state care experience, etc., are highly desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct patient care and support, following the established plan of care, to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Measure and record vital signs and other specified metrics as instructed.
  • Assist with personal care tasks and activities of daily living (e.g., bathing, oral hygiene, nail & skin care, shaving, dressing).
  • Perform household tasks essential to health care and living at home (e.g., meal preparation/feeding, laundry, light housekeeping).
  • Assists patients in taking medications under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. This includes opening a container or pill caddy & handing it to the patient but does not include administration of the medications.
  • Identify and report any abnormal findings or changes in the patient's condition.
  • Help with therapy exercises under supervision of our therapists (e.g., range of motion exercises, ambulation assistance).
