About The Position

Mission Healthcare, a leading home health and hospice company, is seeking a dedicated Home Health Account Manager for its Portland territory. This role is crucial for managing agency sales and marketing efforts, representing the company to healthcare professionals, physicians, and various referral sources. The Account Manager will educate patients and families on available services, build and maintain strong relationships with customers and referral sources, and negotiate service contracts. A key responsibility is meeting or exceeding monthly/quarterly admission goals for clinically appropriate patients, as set by senior management. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare sales, preferably in home health.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and public relations skills.
  • Ability to assertively market and deal tactfully with patients, their families and the community.
  • Demonstrate autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable, insured vehicle.
  • Home health industry knowledge and expertise.
  • Prospecting, lead generation, and customer engagement.
  • Problem-solving and adaptability.
  • Negotiation and closing skills.
  • Financial and sales analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily marketing operations, sales calls and ongoing education with referral decision makers.
  • Facilitate education on guidelines and agency services provided.
  • Participate in community education events, including speaking to healthcare professionals and institutions to provide education on services offered by Mission Healthcare.
  • Coordinate with physician offices for necessary documentation, such as physician signature on orders, required addendums and other documents in a timely manner.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans, assist in establishing territory volume projections and monitor the allocation of resources according to budgetary limitations.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Mission Healthcare’s markets including major payor groups, key referral sources and competitor’s market positioning.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with referral and payor sources.
  • Monitor and report on cost-effective marketing efforts.
  • Remain educated and up-to-date on industry and regulatory changes.
