About The Position

Mission Healthcare, a leading home health and hospice company, is seeking a dedicated Home Health Account Manager for its Portland territory. This role is crucial for managing all aspects of agency sales and marketing efforts, representing the agency to professional decision-makers, physicians, referral sources, and payors. The Account Manager will educate and support patients and families in identifying available services, conduct quality sales calls, build and maintain positive relationships, and negotiate service contracts. A key responsibility is meeting and exceeding monthly/quarterly admission goals for clinically appropriate patients, as set by Senior/Executive Management. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare sales, preferably in home health.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and public relations skills.
  • Ability to assertively market and deal tactfully with patients, their families, and the community.
  • Demonstrate autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility, and cooperation.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable, insured vehicle.
  • Home health industry knowledge and expertise.
  • Prospecting, lead generation, and customer engagement skills.
  • Problem-solving and adaptability.
  • Negotiation and closing skills.
  • Financial and sales analysis skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily marketing operations, sales calls, and ongoing education with referral decision-makers.
  • Facilitate education on guidelines and agency services provided.
  • Participate in community education events, including speaking to healthcare professionals and institutions.
  • Coordinate with physician offices for necessary documentation in a timely manner.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans, assist in establishing territory volume projections, and monitor resource allocation.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Mission Healthcare’s markets, including major payor groups, key referral sources, and competitor positioning.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with referral and payor sources.
  • Monitor and report on cost-effective marketing efforts.
  • Remain educated and up-to-date on industry and regulatory changes.
