About The Position

Best Choice Roofing of Greater St. Louis is seeking a Home Exterior Advisor for their outside sales team. This role involves helping homeowners make informed decisions about their home exteriors, including roofing, siding, gutters, soffit, and fascia. The company is an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred contractor and part of the national Best Choice Roofing brand, emphasizing honest assessments and quality work. They are experiencing significant growth and are looking for advisors who can follow a structured sales system. The position is full-time, W2, outside sales exempt, and commission-based.

Requirements

  • 1 to 2 years in outside sales (roofing and/or home services is a plus).
  • Ability to present and negotiate.
  • Ability to communicate value and hold price.
  • Proficiency with CRM (JobNimbus), Office, and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to manage both retail value sales and insurance claims.
  • Ability to physically get on a roof for inspections.
  • Organized and self-motivated.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Reliable vehicle for daily appointments.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Ability to safely access and inspect roofs.

Responsibilities

  • Run company-provided leads and generate own leads through referrals and neighborhood canvassing.
  • Inspect roofs and exteriors and deliver a written Roof Report Card outcome on every appointment.
  • Build and present value-first proposals covering materials, warranties, and financing.
  • Present retail options and handle storm and insurance jobs.
  • Meet with adjusters and verify scope on insurance claims.
  • Guide homeowners through color selection, contracts, and timelines.
  • Build referral relationships with realtors, insurance agents, and past customers.
  • Represent BCR at Chamber events, trade shows, and community events.
  • Request 5-star reviews and follow up on all opportunities.
  • Attend weekly sales meetings and one-on-ones.
