We're looking for a Home Equity Lending Specialist to join our team and support members in reaching their homeownership and financial goals through personalized home equity solutions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2+ years of experience in lending, financial services, sales, or a related role
• Ability to obtain NMLS registration, Wisconsin Notary, and E-Notary licenses
• Working knowledge of consumer lending, underwriting, and applicable regulations
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Associate or bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Originate, process, and close Home Equity Lines of Credit (HELOCs) and home equity loans.
• Deliver an exceptional member experience, ensure regulatory compliance, and guide loans from application through funding.
• Identify opportunities to help members leverage their home equity to meet their financial goals.
• Guide members through HELOC and home equity loan options, helping them choose solutions that align with their financial goals.
• Build strong, trust-based relationships and identify opportunities to connect members with additional products and services.
• Ensure all applications are accurate, complete, and compliant with federal and state regulations and credit union policies.
• Coordinate loan disbursements and maintain thorough, organized documentation throughout the process.
• Support loan growth by following up on inquiries, engaging in outbound and inbound communication, and leveraging referrals and member data to identify opportunities.
• Partner with Mortgage Loan Originators to strengthen and expand lending portfolios.
• Adhere to all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure a seamless member experience and provide guidance or training to team members as needed.
