About The Position
Optum Home Delivery is seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Pharmacist to join our Pine Brook, New Jersey pharmacy operations team. In this role, you will support the accurate and timely dispensing of prescription medications to members across the country while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in good standing in state of New Jersey
- Proven ability to move 25 pounds
- Willing to work in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- 2+ years leadership experience
- PBM or Managed Care experience
- Mail Order Pharmacy experience
- High-volume Retail Pharmacy experience
Responsibilities
- Review, verify and accurately dispense prescription medications in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
- Oversees the activities of pharmacy technicians and pharmacy clerks
- Organizes workload, sets priorities, completes assignments in a timely manner and utilizes resources appropriately while complying with department program standards
- Performs all duties and functions in compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
