About The Position

Evergreen Co-op is seeking a Home Centre Clerk to serve members and customers with products and services that help build, feed, and fuel individuals and communities. As a member-owned business, profits are returned to members and stay in the local economy. This role is integral to the company's mission of living and working within the community to grow the local economy.

Requirements

• Organizational skills and great time management
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently in a team environment
• Product knowledge is required to assist customers with any request
• Ability to handle multiple demands at once while still providing excellent customer service
• Sense of urgency
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Must be legally eligible to work for any employer in Canada by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or work permit.

Responsibilities

• Providing exceptional member service with a positive, professional approach and attitude toward customers
• Being dependable for all scheduled shifts
• Receiving merchandise as directed by the Hardware Manager
• Processing member transactions in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner
• Providing quotes and ordering of special products
• Operating and maintaining all equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
• Maintaining a neat, clean, and orderly location at all times by using good housekeeping standards
• Adhering to all Evergreen Cooperative Association policies and procedures and participate in the Health and Safety program, including all the required PPE
