About The Position

Open Arms Solutions is hiring compassionate, dependable In-Home Caregivers to support seniors throughout Downtown Chicago and surrounding neighborhoods. Caregivers help older adults remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes while building relationships with clients and their families. Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to clients’ homes are important for this position.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience within the past 2 years.
• Valid driver’s license or state ID.
• Reliable transportation to client locations and ability to travel to clients’ homes.
• Smartphone for communication and care documentation.
• Ability to complete required background screening.
• Dependability, compassion, and a professional approach to client care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction.
• Prepare meals and encourage hydration.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Help with light housekeeping and laundry.
• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and activities as needed.
• Observe and report changes in clients’ condition.
• Complete basic care documentation.
