About The Position
The HCA/Caregiver is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of the Care Coordinator and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s needs. Qualicare Homecare BC has immediate openings for compassionate, dedicated Caregivers to support clients locally in the Langley area! Qualicare Homecare is looking for compassionate, caring, and reliable individuals to join our family as Health Care Aides (HCAs) / Personal Support Workers (PSWs) / Caregivers. Requirements
- Must reside in the Langley area or be fully willing and able to reliably commute to shifts across Langley
- Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent (foreign-trained nurse, nursing student)
- Current CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain
- CRC for Vulnerable Sector (valid for 5 years) or willingness to obtain
- Ability to travel around the local area.
- Access to Internet/smart phone with data
Responsibilities
- Assistance with personal care and hygiene
- Meal Preparation
- Light Housekeeping
- Accompany clients on outings
- Shopping and errands
- Medication Assist/ Reminders
- Ambulation and transporting of clients
- Provide companionship to clients
- Ability to follow care-plan
- Documentation/Charting
