Home Caregiver / HCA - Mission
About The Position
The HCA/Caregiver is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of the Care Coordinator and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s needs. Qualicare Homecare BC has an immediate, urgent opening for a dedicated Caregiver in the Mission area to support a local family starting within the next two weeks. We are looking to onboard up to two reliable caregivers for this local case to ensure consistent, stable care coverage. Qualicare Homecare is looking for compassionate, caring, and reliable individuals to join our family as Health Care Aides (HCAs) / Personal Support Workers (PSWs) / Caregivers. Requirements
- Must reside in Mission or the surrounding area and be available to start within the next two weeks
- Must have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for client transportation
- Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent (foreign-trained nurse, nursing student)
- Current CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain
- CRC for Vulnerable Sector (valid for 5 years) or willingness to obtain
- Access to Internet/smart phone with data
Responsibilities
- Assistance with personal care and hygiene
- Meal Preparation
- Light Housekeeping
- Accompany clients on outings
- Shopping and errands
- Medication Assist/ Reminders
- Ambulation and transporting of clients
- Provide companionship to clients
- Ability to follow care-plan
- Documentation/Charting
