About The Position
University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Worker to provide in-home assistance to clients in Hartland, MI. This role involves supporting individuals with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being while promoting their independence.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care or related field is an advantage
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions carefully
- Reliable, compassionate, and patient demeanor
- Ability to pass background checks and meet state requirements for caregiving
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation plus
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Help with mobility and transferring, ensuring client safety at all times
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary requirements
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Monitor client health and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team
- Assist with medication reminders and adherence under supervision
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and client progress
