About The Position

FlexStaff is seeking a full-time Field Registered Nurse for a client that is a multi-service home care organization. The role involves traveling to patients’ homes in Brooklyn, NY to provide healthcare services and help patients maintain their independence. The nurse manages a caseload of 20–25 patients per week and creates their own schedule. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, totaling 38.5 hours per week. The position is permanent. Salary may vary based on experience and qualifications; the advertised salary range or hourly rate represents a good-faith estimate of potential base compensation and may be modified. Compensation may be determined by factors such as location, specialty, service line, relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget, and internal equity.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Currently registered in New York State as a Registered Professional Nurse.
At least six months of inpatient nursing care experience.

Responsibilities

Assess and chart observations of each patient’s condition at every visit.
Complete evaluation tasks, including reviewing medications and vital signs.
Administer medications prescribed by a physician.
Dress or redress wounds and assess healing progress.
Educate patients and families on home health care procedures and strategies.
Coordinate with physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and others involved in the patient’s care plan.
Provide palliative care to keep patients comfortable.
Recommend tools or devices that may improve patients’ quality of life.
Travel to patients’ homes to administer healthcare services and help patients maintain independence.
