About The Position
HomeWorks, a division of UMC, is seeking a Per Diem Home Care Registered Nurse (RN) to care for older adults who want to continue living in their own homes. In this role, you will ensure each person's care plan meets their individual needs, working alongside certified home health aides. This position offers a consistent weekly shift every Thursday from 9 AM to 4 PM, with no nights or weekends required. HomeWorks is part of the nonprofit United Methodist Communities, which has served New Jersey seniors for over 100 years and is certified as a Great Place to Work.
Requirements
- Active, unencumbered New Jersey RN license, or a multistate (compact) RN license
- At least 2 years of experience as an RN in home care, home health, hospice, or community nursing experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Nice To Haves
- Experience caring for older adults or people living with dementia
Responsibilities
- Visit clients at home to assess their needs
- Write and update personal care plans
- Supervise and support certified home health aides (CHHAs)
- Help match clients with the right caregiver
- Document each visit clearly and on time
- Keep families and the care team up to date
