About The Position
HomeWorks, a division of UMC, is seeking a Home Care Registered Nurse (RN) to earn $40 an hour for one set shift a week: Thursdays, 9 AM to 4 PM. This role involves visiting older adults at home in Northern New Jersey to ensure their care plans meet their needs, with the support of certified home health aides. HomeWorks is part of the nonprofit United Methodist Communities, which has served seniors for over 100 years and is a Certified Great Place to Work for 9 consecutive years.
Requirements
- Active, unencumbered New Jersey RN license, or a multistate (compact) RN license
- At least 2 years of experience as an RN in home care, home health, hospice, or community nursing experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Must be able to produce a negative drug test
- May be subject to a background check
Nice To Haves
- Experience caring for older adults or people living with dementia
Responsibilities
- Visit clients at home to assess their needs
- Write and update personal care plans
- Supervise and support our certified home health aides (CHHAs)
- Help match clients with the right caregiver
- Document each visit clearly and on time
- Keep families and the care team up to date
