About The Position

Requirements
- A Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association accredited program
- A current license as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia or be licensure eligible
- At least 1 year of post-graduate experience is absolutely mandatory
- BLS completion within 3 months of hire
- Ability to operate and apply therapeutic equipment
- Ability to lift/push/pull light to heavy equipment, supplies, and patients
- Creativity and problem solving skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience working on a home care setting is strongly preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Assumes responsibility and accountability for a designated group of patients and accurately provides Physical Therapy (PT) evaluations
- Develops and implements PT treatment plans
- Provides education and information to patients and caregivers
- Participates in required discharge planning and completes all required documentation according to policy
- Supervises and assumes responsibility for provided Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants
- May be assigned other duties such as clinical instructor for student affiliations, performance improvement, and program development.
