About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking compassionate, reliable caregivers to support clients in Norfolk and Suffolk Counties and surrounding areas. Caregivers help clients maintain their dignity, comfort, and quality of life while building connections and providing companionship. The agency provides an RN Supervisor for field support, training, resources, and assistance finding a suitable client match. The role may include occasional transportation to appointments or errands, with mileage reimbursement. Requirements

• Proficiency in English.
• Current CNA or HHA certification, or caregiving experience.
• Nursing students seeking patient care experience are welcome.
• Strong communication skills and a caring, empathetic nature.
• Ability to follow a care plan and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass background checks.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in home care or a similar setting is a plus but is not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, light exercise, and walking.
• Prepare and serve meals.
• Provide medication reminders; training is provided.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment in clients’ homes.
• Occasionally transport clients to appointments or errands; mileage is reimbursed.
• Follow care plans and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Demonstrate dedication to clients and respect for the agency’s team.
