About The Position

We have an URGENT NEED for Occupational Therapists (OTs) to join our home health team. This role focuses on geriatric patients, helping them and their families adapt to their environment, modify tasks, and use equipment to improve participation in daily life. You will help patients manage fatigue, conserve energy, reduce stress, learn relaxation techniques for better sleep, protect their joints, manage chronic pain, and use adapted equipment as part of their daily care. Requirements

• Excellent communication skills.
• CA Licensed Physical Therapist.
• CPR Certified.
• Recent Physical within the last year.
• Clear TB Testing within the last year.
• Works well unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Help patients and families adapt to their environment.
• Modify tasks to improve patient participation in daily life.
• Teach patients to use equipment to improve participation in daily life.
• Help patients manage fatigue to conserve energy and reduce stress.
• Teach learning relaxation techniques to improve sleep habits.
• Educate patients on protecting their joints.
• Assist patients in managing chronic pain.
• Instruct patients on using adapted equipment for daily care.
• Evaluate patients.
• Follow up with patients.
• Conduct home safety evaluations.
• Perform ROM (Range of Motion) exercises.
• Conduct strength training.
• Perform equipment evaluations.
