About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring dependable caregivers, CNAs, and HHAs for home care opportunities in the Jacksonville, St. Johns, Julington Creek, and surrounding areas. If you want caregiving work where you are supported by a local team, matched thoughtfully with clients, and treated like your work matters, we would like to hear from you. This is a W-2 employee position. It is not a 1099 contractor role or registry position. We are a locally owned home care agency operated by a husband and wife team. Our owners are actively involved and accessible, and our office team works to communicate clearly with caregivers. We know that home care only works when caregivers are respected and supported. That is why we focus on strong communication, realistic scheduling, and long-term relationships with dependable caregivers.

Requirements

Active Florida CNA license or HHA certificate
Successful Level II Background Screening
Recent TB screening
Classroom CPR certification
HIV/AIDS training
Alzheimer’s and Related Dementias training
Assistance with Self-Administration of Medication training
Reliable transportation to client homes
Strong communication skills
Professional, dependable, and caring attitude

Nice To Haves

Comfort with pets preferred

Responsibilities

Provide personal care and daily living support that helps clients remain safe and comfortable at home.
Bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance
Transfers and mobility support
Meal preparation
Light housekeeping related to the client
Companionship and conversation
Medication reminders
Help with errands or appointments when included in the care plan
Reporting changes or concerns to the office
