About The Position

Always Best Care Chicagoland is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical home care and help seniors remain safe and independent in their homes. The role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients’ lives. The agency provides training and serves DuPage, Will, and Cook Counties. The position is in person in Westmont, Illinois, and may be full-time, part-time, or live-in.

Requirements

At least one year of caregiving or home care experience.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Knowledge of housekeeping and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Respectful and compassionate manner with good bedside manner.
Strong communication, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to work in the United States.
Reliability.
Willingness to work full-time or part-time.

Responsibilities

Provide medication reminders.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside, including at appointments and on walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises.
Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping, as needed.
Perform light housekeeping clients cannot manage themselves, including meal preparation.
Report unusual incidents to the Care Coordinator.
Respond quickly and responsibly to emergencies.
Follow the client’s care plan.
