About The Position

Always Best Care Chicagoland is hiring compassionate Home Care Caregivers to provide non-medical care that helps seniors remain safe and independent in their homes. The agency serves DuPage, Will, and Cook Counties. Caregivers receive training and support and are expected to provide respectful, reliable care in accordance with each client's care plan. The position is in person in Willow Springs, Illinois, and may be full-time or part-time.

Requirements

At least one year of home care or caregiving experience.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Respectful, compassionate manner and good bedside manner.
Strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to work in the USA.
Must be very reliable.

Responsibilities

Provide medication reminders.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside, including doctor’s appointments and walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises.
Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping, as needed.
Perform light housekeeping tasks clients cannot complete themselves, including meal preparation.
Report unusual incidents to the Care Coordinator.
Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
Follow each client’s care plan.
