This includes observing client functioning and reporting any changes to a supervisor, assisting with various household chores such as meal planning, cooking, cleaning, and laundry, and helping clients with activities outside the home like shopping and appointments. A key part of the role is assisting clients with activities of daily living and personal care, including bathing, hair care, shaving, medication reminders, nail care, mouth care, and dressing. The assistant will also help with ambulation, positioning, toileting, and transfers. Accurate documentation of services provided and adherence to the client's plan of care are required.
