About The Position

Piedmont Crossing, an EveryAge continuing care retirement community in Thomasville, North Carolina, is seeking a caring and dependable Home Care Assistant (CNA). The role provides high-quality in-home care that helps residents remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes. The assistant delivers care under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse and supports residents’ dignity, comfort, and quality of life through compassionate service.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current North Carolina Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• Current listing in good standing with no substantiated findings on the State Nurse Aide Registry.
• Completion of all required in-services and competency evaluations.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to successfully complete competency testing as required for in-home aide duties.
• Maintain at least 12 hours of documented in-service education annually.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance strongly preferred.
• Ability to meet EveryAge’s auto insurance requirements for coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living according to individualized care plans.
• Deliver home care services under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ conditions to the nursing team.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, safety monitoring, and companionship.
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with company, regulatory, and insurance requirements.
• Promote resident dignity, comfort, and quality of life through compassionate care.
