Interim Healthcare of NEPA is seeking a School-Based Home Care Aide HCA to ride transportation to/from school and assist with needs throughout the school day. School-Based Home Care Aide HCAs are members of the interdisciplinary team who provide hands-on personal care, report changes in the client’s condition, perform simple procedures as an extension of therapy or nursing services, and provide incidental/instrumental activities of daily living to clients in the home setting as evaluated/delegated and as permitted by the policies and procedures of Interim HealthCare and any other federal, state and local law or regulation.

Requirements

• Age of majority in the state.
• Training, certification or registration required by state and federal law and regulation.
• Six (6) months of accumulated experience in a similar job classification; required.
• Reliable form of transportation
• Willing to undergo pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Attend school with a pediatric client
• Potential travel with client from home to school and school to home
• Assist with toileting, meals, and assigned activities in the classroom
• Report any incidents to classroom teacher and designated supervisor
• Follow care plan and maintain proper documentation according to Pennsylvania State Laws
• Follow HIPAA standards

Benefits

• Pay $16 per hour
• Monday through Friday; weekends optional
• Hours between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM (not specific to assignment)
• other assignments offered throughout the summer time
• Health Benefits provided to individuals maintaining a minimum of 30 hours weekly
• Weekly Pay via papercheck or direct deposit
