Requirements
- Experience programming Control4 systems.
- Experience with Lutron lighting control systems (RadioRA 3, HomeWorks, or Vive preferred).
- Strong understanding of IP networking, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and VLANs.
- Experience integrating third-party smart home devices.
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Strong customer communication skills.
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
Nice To Haves
- Control4 Certified Programmer
- Lutron Certification
- Araknis, Pakedge, Cisco, Ubiquiti, or Ruckus networking experience
- OvrC experience
- Experience with surveillance, access control, and security integration
- Experience with distributed audio/video systems
Responsibilities
- Program and commission Control4 automation systems.
- Configure Lutron lighting and shade control systems.
- Integrate audio, video, security, HVAC, surveillance, and other smart home technologies.
- Configure residential and light commercial networks including routers, switches, wireless access points, and VLANs.
- Optimize network performance for streaming, automation, security cameras, and remote access.
- Test and validate complete integrated systems before customer handoff.
- Troubleshoot programming, networking, and device communication issues.
- Fine-tune systems to ensure reliability and ease of use.
- Train clients on system operation.
- Deliver intuitive, reliable smart home experiences.
- Provide remote and onsite technical support when needed.
- Work closely with project managers, designers, installers, and service technicians.
- Review project documentation and recommend programming improvements.
- Document programming changes and maintain project records.
- Maintain certifications in Control4, Lutron, networking, and related technologies.
- Stay current on emerging smart home products and best practices.
