The Automation Specialist serves as a domain expert in areas including, but not limited to, programmable controllers (PLC/PAC), safety control systems, associated input/output (I/O) modules, industrial computers, human machine interface (HMI), Ethernet/IP networks, security products, and the software required to interface with them. This includes Studio 5000, FactoryTalk Historian, AssetCentre, TransactionManager, ThinManager, communications, and analytics software. The role involves acting as a pre-sales technical and commercial resource for customers and The Reynolds Company sales team, launching new and existing Software and Controls products and technologies, and providing product training and demonstrations. The specialist will also identify target accounts, provide selection and design advice for Rockwell Automation products, differentiate solutions from competitors, and develop and implement the Software and Controls Business Plan for sales growth in conjunction with Rockwell Automation and Reynolds Company leadership. Collaboration with Rockwell Automation’s Software and Controls Field Business Leads is expected for feedback on target accounts, sales growth opportunities, technical and commercial information, new products, promotions, competition, and assistance. The role also includes participating in account planning and sales strategy, focusing on new customer acquisition and existing customer expansion.
