About The Position

This role is responsible for the complete processing of most hoistway cables, including extrusion, printing, cabling respool, quality control, and testing. The associate must function as a team player, working with all shifts to ensure efficient production flow and prioritize team loading for maximum set-up efficiency. The position requires the ability to interpret engineering and production instructions, operate independently of supervisory guidance, print process instructions, and change priorities to maintain production efficiency. All associates are expected to learn and cross-train on all equipment within the department and be proficient in all areas of hoistway cable production and electrical testing. Responsibilities also include performing material movement in the SAP system and completing quality and production reports. This job is designed to encompass a range of concurrent and relatively equal responsibilities.

Requirements

Color perception required.
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and apply strength to move reels in excess of 100 pounds.
Ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time - which may be intermittent at times.
Ability to climb up and down steps to perform critical job functions - which may be intermittent.
Ability to use small hand tools repetitively as needed to perform basic job functions.
Complete cross training in all functions within the Hoistway Cell.
Maintain safety and housekeeping standards within the department.

Responsibilities

Interpret engineering and production operation instructions, production schedules, QC test instructions, and materials requirements.
Operate independently of supervisory guidance.
Print process instructions.
Change priorities in order to maintain production efficiency.
Complete processing responsibility for most hoistway cables including extrusion, printing, cabling respool, quality and testing.
Learn and cross-train on all equipment in the department.
Be proficient in all areas related to hoistway cable production and electrical testing.
Perform material movement in SAP system.
Complete quality and production reports.
