Requirements

  • Eight or more years of experience in systems software and programming environment

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to provide technical architectural direction input for Hogan systems processing, Hogan Release System.
  • Strong IMS DB skills.
  • CICS skills, IBM Utilities, BMC utilities.
  • Knowledge of Tools like GitLab, CD/CI pipelines, Java, Groovy, Python.
  • Open to work nonstandard work hours and workdays.
  • Ability to design, build, test, debug and document system software and hardware solutions
  • Ability to provide technical consulting on complex projects
  • Ability to formulate and define specifications for complex operating system software and hardware
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Provides direction and technical guidance for planning, directing and monitoring operating system software and hardware.
  • Analyzes project requirements and recommends enhancements to fit architectural strategies.
  • Installs and maintains operating systems software, system and operation oriented program products for a large central server environment.
  • Designs and implements hardware and software configurations.
  • Monitors central server software and hardware to ensure system availability.
  • Evaluates, builds, tests and migrates systems software for the central server computers.
  • Provides on-call support and problem determination and resolution.
  • Prepares and maintains system documentation and operating procedures.
