This role involves leading an engineering team focused on STLASim core tooling, with a primary emphasis on HMI development, DevOps infrastructure, and automation frameworks, predominantly using MATLAB and Simulink. The position requires planning, prioritizing, and coordinating team activities for HMI feature development, automation workflows, DevOps pipelines, deployment, and operational support for STLASim and related simulation platforms. The lead will guide MATLAB/Simulink-based HMI, DevOps, and automation development through technical guidance, reviews, and direct development involvement. A key responsibility is owning and evolving the DevOps and automation infrastructure, including build, integration, release, and execution workflows for large-scale simulation tools. The role also serves as the primary escalation point for complex tooling, HMI, and platform-level issues, requiring debugging of interactions between simulation models, automation logic, and execution environments. Ensuring release readiness, validation, and quality of deliverables through technical oversight and coordination with architects and stakeholders is crucial. Additionally, the role supports tool users by overseeing issue triage, root-cause analysis, and resolution of HMI, automation, and tooling-related problems, while driving continuous improvement in tool usability, automation coverage, DevOps robustness, and team effectiveness.
