About The Position

Under the direction of the MedSource Manager, the incumbent’s primary responsibility is the safe and timely delivery and set-up of medical equipment and oxygen in the patient’s home. The incumbent must be knowledgeable about the equipment delivered and be able to educate the patient on its safe and effective use and maintenance. The HME Delivery/Service Technician must exhibit the F.I.R.S.T. values (Friendliness, Innovation, Respect, Service, and Trust).

Requirements

• Knowledge of all appropriate home medical equipment and supplies.
• Knowledge of third party payors policies and procedures.
• Computer skills required.
• Ability to move or position 50+ lbs. independently.
• Safe operation of delivery vehicles.
• Ability to work with constant interruptions of phone and walk-in customers and patients.
• Ability to work with exposure to body fluids, unpleasant smells, sights and unsanitary environments.
• Ability to handle high stress levels due to meeting delivery deadlines or covering for a high-volume front area.
• Must be able to work on call rotation for nights and weekends.
• Must be able to work some overtime due to being on call.
