About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. This role ensures compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, and with company policies and procedures. The operator will meet daily production goals by understanding and performing all aspects of plant operations, perform general plant maintenance and repairs, and conduct routine plant maintenance including greasing, checking oil levels, and shoveling under conveyors and spillage areas. The role also involves operating equipment including skid loaders and plant trucks, and communicating current job information with contractors and drivers.

Requirements

  • Basic computer skills.
  • Solid mechanical skills to perform general maintenance.
  • Ability to operate plant equipment.
  • General knowledge of hot mix asphalt business and operation.
  • Ability to learn basic welding and torch operation.
  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
  • Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
