About The Position

Amentum, in partnership with Aerodyne Industries, is seeking a Human Landing System (HLS) Flight Control Simulation Engineer to support NASA's HLS Program. This role involves developing and maintaining a 6-DOF Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) simulation, with a primary focus on creating flight control system algorithms for both automated and piloted manual flight of lunar lander vehicles. The simulation will be used to aid in the design and development of a crewed digital manual control system, prototype Displays and Controls, and assess human-in-the-loop handling qualities. The position is with a long-term NASA client and offers the opportunity to work with NASA and JETS engineers on exciting challenges for deep space exploration.
