The Department of Pathology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, is seeking a full-time academic Staff Pathologist to serve as the HLA Director of the Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics Laboratory. This role offers a clinically advanced and supportive academic environment, with opportunities to be part of a landmark collaboration involving Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI), BIDMC, and Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians (HMFP) to establish New England’s only freestanding adult inpatient cancer hospital. The successful candidate will help oversee a comprehensive, rapidly growing, state-of-the-art laboratory supporting various clinical programs, including transplantation and transfusion support. The position also involves clinical and administrative service responsibilities, active participation in pathology training programs, and the development of translational and/or clinical research. The candidate will be appointed to the faculty of Harvard Medical School at an academic rank commensurate with experience.
