About The Position
Processes tissue specimens for examination by a pathologist for use in the treatment and diagnosis of disease.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- HT or HTL certification or eligible. If eligible, must complete certification within six months of employment date.
- One year of experience in an approved histology laboratory.
- Proficiency in all areas of histology (accessioning, embedding, cutting, staining, mounting).
- Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.
Nice To Haves
- One year college preferred.
